Summer is slowly coming to an end and the new school year is just around the corner. But that doesn’t mean the adventures have to stop. What if the journey back to school could start with a journey through time?
At Back in Time Prague, we believe history doesn’t have to be just a list of dates, names and events to memorize for a test. We often remember things best when we actually experience them.
History You Don’t Just Have to Imagine
When you hear the word “history,” you might think of textbooks, dates and long lists of kings and historical events. But history is really the story of people who lived, made decisions, built cities, fought wars, created art and changed the world around them.
That’s why Back in Time Prague was created – an interactive experience and history museum in Prague that lets you discover the city’s past in a completely different way.
In just around 50 minutes, you’ll travel through more than 1,200 years of Prague’s history. You’ll meet important historical figures, experience key moments and see the city you walk through every day from a whole new perspective.
This isn’t a traditional museum where you simply look at exhibits behind glass. Here, history comes alive through visuals, sound, space and immersive experiences.
Learning Doesn’t Have to Stop at the School Door
That’s the beauty of informal education. Learning doesn’t have to end when the school bell rings. It can happen while travelling, playing, exploring new places or spending time with your family.
An interactive museum in Prague can be a great way to show children that history isn’t something distant or abstract. It is directly connected to the place where we live.
When children can see, hear and experience something first, it can be much easier to connect it with the information they later learn at school.
And maybe one day during history class, they’ll think:
“Wait… I’ve already experienced this at Back in Time.”

Back to School at Back in Time 🎒
With the new school year just around the corner, we’ve got one more special offer for young time travellers.
As part of our Back to School promotion, children aged 12 and under can visit Back in Time for free.
📅 24 – 31 August 2026
🎟️ The offer is available when purchasing tickets on site.
So if you’re looking for one last adventure before school starts, why not combine fun with a little bit of history?
And September Brings Even More Adventures
The start of the school year doesn’t mean the fun stops at Máj.
Throughout September, you can take part in a mission across three experience centres at Máj – Back in Time, Heroes Park and Levels.
Visit the three concepts and collect stamps on your game card. Once you’ve collected your stamps, you can drop your card into one of the prize boxes and enter a draw to win special prize packages from all three concepts.
Here’s how it works:
⏳ Back in Time – receive a stamp when you purchase admission
🦸 Heroes Park – receive a stamp when you purchase admission
🎮 Levels – receive a stamp when you spend 500 CZK or more
So instead of simply going back to school, why not go back to adventure?

Because the Best Lessons Are the Ones We Remember
Of course, you can learn history from a textbook. But you can also see it, hear it, walk through it and experience its stories for yourself.
And that’s what Back in Time is all about.
Because some things are better experienced than simply read about. ⏳
