Charles IV: The Man Who Forged Czech History
The adventurous journey takes us to the court of the greatest figure in Czech history –
Roman Emperor and King Charles IV. During his reign, he elevated Prague to one of the
largest cities in Europe and ensured its dynamic development. He founded the first university
north of the Alps, built a new stone bridge across the Vltava River, and established Prague’s
New Town. In addition, he ordered the reconstruction of St. Vitus Cathedral and
commissioned the creation of the St. Wenceslas Coronation Crown.
