1. Charles Bridge

Charles Bridge, the oldest preserved bridge in Prague over the Vltava River, replaced the Judith Bridge destroyed by a flood in 1342. It is over 516 meters long and 9.5 meters wide. It was founded in 1357 by Charles IV. Along the entire length of the bridge, there are 30 statues of saints, the originals of which are in the Lapidarium of the National Museum. Interestingly, eggs were added to the mortar during construction for greater strength, and the famous statue of St. John of Nepomuk still has smoothed out spots that are touched for good luck.

4. St. Vitus Cathedral

It is a huge and beautiful Gothic cathedral, inside which you can find the tombs of monarchs or the crown jewels. The cathedral is also known as St. Vitus Cathedral, or St. Vitus Cathedral or St. Vitus Cathedral. Construction began in 1344 by King Charles IV. The original builders of the cathedral were Matthias of Arras, later replaced by Peter Parler. They built a choir with a wreath of chapels, St. Wenceslas Chapel, the Golden Gate and the lower part of the Great South Tower. However, Peter Parler did not completely complete the work. In the 15th century, the construction was interrupted by the Hussite Wars and the cathedral remained unfinished for centuries. The cathedral was not fully completed until its consecration in 1929.
