Velvet Revolution – Victory of Freedom

In November 1989, the police cracked down on a peaceful student demonstration and ignited a wave of national resistance. This movement was led by a dissident, playwright and future president, Václav Havel, who became a symbol of the fight for democracy. The Velvet Revolution changed the direction of our country and laid the foundations of freedom and our entry into the EU and NATO
