At the immersive museum Back in Time Prague, you’ll become a direct witness not just to Prague’s past, but to key milestones of Czech heritage. Thanks to 5D technology, holograms, special projections, scents, and motion, you’ll embark on a true journey through time.
In just 55 minutes, you’ll pass through key moments in the country’s history – from the prophecy of Princess Libuše, to the court of Charles IV, the construction of the Astronomical Clock, and even the Prague Uprising. The final room highlights iconic figures who shaped both Prague and the Czech Republic in modern history. This interactive experience is suitable for adults and children aged six and up. It’s multilingual and located right in the heart of the city.

Museum of Communism
If you want to understand the modern era of Prague and Czechoslovak society, the Museum of Communism is a must – visit. The museum offers a powerful look into everyday life and the power structures during the totalitarian regime in Czechoslovakia. Chlupáč Museum of Earth History
This lesser – known but unique exhibition takes you millions of years back – to the origins of life on Earth. Part of Charles University, the museum was built upon the original collections of the Institute of Geology and Paleontology. It primarily serves research and education in historical geology, stratigraphy, paleontology, and related disciplines. Here, you’ll find fossils from the Cambrian explosion, marine reptiles (including a full ichthyosaur skeleton!), and other remarkable paleontological specimens.

National Technical Museum
