Velvet Revolution – Victory of Freedom

In November 1989, the police cracked down on a peaceful student demonstration and ignited a wave of national resistance. This movement was led by a dissident, playwright and future president, Václav Havel, who became a symbol of the fight for democracy. The Velvet Revolution changed the direction of our country and laid the foundations of freedom and our entry into the EU and NATO

What are the opening hours?

We are open every day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The programme starts at 9:15 a.m., and the last entry is at 7:45 p.m. Be sure to come on time; our time machine waits for no man!

Is there parking?

Unfortunately, we don’t have our own parking. You can park on the street in the blue zone – we recommend arriving with time to spare to find a space.

Are there lockers?

Yes, you can store your belongings in our lockers to fully enjoy yourself without distractions.

Are strollers allowed?

You can definitely access our premises with a stroller, but please note that they are not allowed in the exhibition area. We will be happy to assist you with its storage.

Is there free Wi-Fi?

Yes, you can connect to our network for free. You can share your time travel experience with friends and family in real-time!

Do you offer souvenirs and vouchers?
